A Little Vintage Love

Howdy folks!
Aimee here with a sweet little project to share with you.

Today we will play with the awesome French Oval Classic Bubble frame kit
along with Vintage Dress Form embellishments, flowers, inks, and enamel powders.

Want to make it?
Sweet!

What you'll need:
Enamel powder Adhesive
Enamel Gels: Rose Pearl & Gold
Adirodack inks- Butterscotch, Cranberry, and Ginger
Flowers
Pink Gelato
Paint brush, water, stipple brushes or sponges, heat tool, tooth picks, clamps/clothespins, heavy book, word sticker, scrap of black wire, Ranger's Sticky back canvas (or some good card stock and adhesive)

1. Use the oval ad trace the sticky back canvas/paper. Cut out.
Adhere to the oval.

2. Use the stipple brushes or sponges and color the canvas.

3. Add a little pink Gelato and smoosh it around
a bit with a damp paint brush. Set aside to dry.

4. Use the adhesive fluid and Aged White powder to coat the oval frame.
I did two coats.

5. Use the adhesive fluid and Gilded Rose Gold powder to coat the lace frame.
I did two coats on it, too.

6. Use a tooth pick to add E600 glue to the back of the lace frame.
Adhere it to the oval frame and stick it under a heavy book for awhile
to make sure it's good and adhered.

7. Use the adhesive fluid and Vintage Black powder to coat the dress form.
I really love the way it looks!!!

8. Now begin assembling your piece.
Use a toothpick to put E600 glue onto the back of the dress form ad adhere it to the canvas oval.
I used E600 to glue everything down on this one.

9. Once the inside is done, place the clear bubble over it,
using E600 glue to adhere it. Clamp it down for awhile to be sure it's
really stuck on! Add the frame using the E600 glue and clamping it down as well.
Add some flowers and it's done.
Isn't it pretty?

Be True

Hello my lovelies!

Today I have for you one of my favorite things to create- mini canvases.
Ah they are so much fun and so very sweet.
This project also uses one of my favorite charms sets- Vintage Birdcages.

Supplies:
Mini canvas, fancy napkin, acrylic paint, Mod Podge, epoxy sticker, beads, charms (bow and bird)
Heat gun, tooth pick

First things first- separate the layers of your fancy napkin.
Coat the canvas with mod Podge and stick the top (fancy) layer of the napkin onto the canvas.
Once it's dry, tear off around the edges. Then paint the edges with acrylic paint.

Randomly plop some enamel adhesive fluid onto the canvas and add Aged White enamel powder.
Heat to melt the powder and activate the adhesive.

Coat the solid background for the birdcage with enamel adhesive fluid and then Aged White powder.
Heat it up!
Now coat the fancy part of the birdcage with enamel gels.
Gold on the swirly heart on the door, copper on the rest.
(I went back and did a second coat of the gold once it was all dry).
Once the cage is dry, use a toothpick to put E600 glue onto the back of it and adhere it to the cage background.

Add the birdcage to the left corner of the canvas.
Use the E600 to add a bow to the cage (this bow was a charm that I cut the loop off of).
Randomly spread some E600 around the bottom of the cage/bottom edge of the canvas
and drop beads onto it.

Add your epoxy sticker and a bird charm, and it's all done!

Happiness is a room full of Art Supplies

Aimee here!
I hope you've all had a wonderful week!
I've been busy in the crafty studio making all kinds of things.

Up for you today, I have another mini canvas. This one is ATC sized (2.5x3.5").
This is another project that sounds way more complicated than what it really is.
Hope ya like it!

What you need:
ATC canvas (I buy mine at Hobby Lobby)
Paint (I used Rustoleum Metallics, Luminous Pear)
Tiny Hole-less beads
Old book paper
Mod Podge
Heat gun
Rubber stamp (the one used here is a washi tape stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps!)
Staz On ink (black)
Bling
Epoxy sticker with saying or quote
Scrap of card stock or patterned paper
Heavy duty adhesive (I used Beacon 527 glue)

What to do:
1. Put a light cot of paint on the canvas (I just smeared it on with my finger). Let dry, or dry with heat tool.

2. Use the Mod Podge to adhere old book paper to the canvas. Use the heat tool and dry it about half way, then rip some of the paper off. let dry the rest of the way and smear a little more paint over the paper. Let dry.

3. Stamp in the upper left corner of the canvas.

4. Once everything is dry, it's time to get funky and add the enamel powders! Woohoo!! Open up the enamel adhesive and slap some on that canvas. Add metallic Copper powder, shake off the excess, and heat that baby up. Continue on with the other colors. Once the final color is on and melted, drop some tiny hole-less beads on it. Allow to cool thoroughly and then shake the loose beads off.

5. Now put your epoxy sticker onto the scrap of paper, trim around it, and set it aside.

6. Get your cute lil' flowers out and paint the stems & leaves. Now, coat each flower with the enamel gels and let them dry. Once dry, add bling centers.

7. Put your paper-backed epoxy sticker onto the canvas using heavy duty glue. Flip it over and slap a heavy book on it for awhile, to be sure that it really sticks.

8. Using a toothpick or something similar, put glue onto the backs of your flowers and arrange them on the canvas. Place that heavy book on top of it for a few minutes to stick those cuties down good.

9. Now, take the silver metallic enamel gel and go around your epoxy sticker's edges. While it's still wet, pour the tiny hole-less beads over the enamel gel. Let sit a few hours or overnight, and then shake off the excess beads.

I Hope to "Inspire" You Today

Hello my lovelies! Aimee here with my very first design team project.
I do hope you like it!!

This itty bitty cutie would make a great gift or perfect décor for some small space in your home.
Don't let the directions fool ya, it doesn't take long to create.

What ya need:
2x2" canvas
Piece of old book paper
Mod Podge
A flower (this one is from Prima)
Heat gun
Paint (I used Rustoleum Metallic Accents in Luminous Pear)
Scrap of card stock or patterned paper
Heavy duty glue (I use Beacon 527 glue)
Epoxy sticker wit a saying or quote
Piccolo Charm- Vintage Birdcage

What to do:
1. Mod Podge that old book paper to the canvas. Let it dry (or blast it with your heat gun)  . *note* you could skip this step since by the time the canvas is complete, you really can't see the paper, but I like the additional texture. Rub some paint over it with your finger. Let it dry

2. Open up your enamel adhesive fluid and dot it all over the canvas. DO NOT SQUEEZE!! DID YA HEAR ME!?!? DO NOT SQUEEZE IT, or you WILL be sorry! Now put some Turquoise Lagoon enamel powder on there, shake off the excess, and heat it up with your heat gun. Let it cool down (won't take long) and repeat this process with each color... Let them mingle together as you heat them up.

3. Now get out your sweet little bird cage. We are only using one part of it for this project. Take that bird cage and coat it with the enamel adhesive, and then cover with Brownstone enamel powder. Remove the excess, and heat that baby up to melt the powder and activate the adhesive. Let it cool and flip it over. Using a toothpick or something else teeny tiny, put some glue on the back of the bird cage and adhere it to a piece of paper. Let it dry and then trim around it.

4. Put some glue on the back of your epoxy sticker and adhere it to the canvas. Flip it over and put a book on it for a few minutes to be sure it sticks down really well. Repeat with the sweet little bird cage. Add your flower (use the same heavy duty glue), and you're done.
