Fall week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends! Welcome to our Fall challenge on Sweet Stamps !

Irit is here and this is my Fall card made with Sweet stamps new released stencils, stamps and Piccolo chipboards, all on one card.
I used various distress inks for both background and front panel of this card.
Just  pick some fall colors and rub them over your stencils to get this gorgeous look.
Then I stamped some Doodle flowers randomly over the stencilled background and made this vertical sentiment panel.
The last touch were those  lovely chipboard flowers and a swirl  embellished with yellow rhinestones as my flower centers. The chipboard were painted with the same mix of distress inks and covered with Glossy Accents over the paint.

Now it's your turn!
Play with us and you can win some gorgeous goodies too!

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful Faux Watercolor

Welcome to the weekend! Are you looking forward to getting your crafty on?!

Today I have a mixed media card using embossing enamels and inks that results in fun and color!

To make this card, you will need a few items from the G&P shop:
Enamel Powder Adhesive Fluid
Embossing Enamel Powders: Girls Night Out, Micro Gold, Vintage Silver
Art Stencil Fancy Flowers AS46003
Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade

favorite stencil
spray bottle with water
stamps: Stampin' Up! Four Feathers and dies
sentiment stamp: 7Gypsies by Hampton Arts
watercolor paper
scraps of white cardstock and vellum cardstock
Tim Holtz Tiny Stapler

Let's get started!

If your stencil has a backside, flip it so the backside is facing up. (This is really important if you have numbers or letters that need to go a certain way.)

Dab the Distress Inks directly onto the stencil. I find it's better to start with the light colors, moving up to the darker ones. No rush here.

When you like the distribution of color, spritz with water, flip over onto the watercolor paper. Use a couple of napkins or a papertowel to press and dab the stencil. This prevents the water from pooling into open areas of your stencil.

This technique has varying results depending upon the amount of water you use. Do you want muted or defined?

I am so in love with feathers on cards!

Stamp your sentiment on the vellum and use the top photo for placement of the rest of the elements.

That's it!

What will you make this weekend?

Inky hugs,
Angi

You Belong Art Journal Page

Welcome to another Friday with Angi! This week I had the chance to work with a few fabulous stencils from our sister company, Sweet Stamps. Pair those stencils up with Globecraft & Piccolo 3D gels, embossing enamels and accents we get an awesome art journal page!

We know we can't have it all at one time, so use what you have and order G&P items when you can. The G&P embossing enamels and 3D gels go a long way. We know you'll love the products, too!

To make this page, you'll need a few items from the G&P shop:
Embossing Enamel Powder: Copper Kettle
Enamel Powder Adhesive Fluid
3D Enamel Gels: Mars Black, Satin Gold, Turquoise
Accents: LA117 Fancy Labels & Roses, LA120 Dragonflies
Glastique, gloss

Stencils (from Sweet Stamps): AS46010 Aztec Sun, AS46015 Circle Pavers

Other Supplies:
various spray inks (Tattered Angels Glimmermist, Dylusions, Tim Holtz Adirondack Color Washes)
modeling paste
gesso
stamps: flowers, alphabet

Layer the spray inks. Be sure to not waste the ink! ;) After you spray through the stencil, flip it over and use the excess ink in the negative (like a stamp). Refer to the project picture above.

Use the 3D Gels on this project by adding small amounts of water to get the consistency you need: more water to use the gels like ink and less to paint and stamp with.

The picture above shows the drips of Satin Gold over the Aztec Sun stencil.

I stamped the 'dots' below using the gels and a cut up flip flop. seriously!

Copper Kettle is a gorgeous copper powder with bits of copper glitter. LOVE the texture and shine!

So many possibilities with these Fancy Labels and Dragonflies...

I used the Circle Pavers stencil with embossing paste and then stamped over it with the gel. I can't stop looking at the colors on top and under the paste!

That's it! Hope your weekend is fabulous and full of creating!

Inky hugs,
Angi

Stenciled Card

Morning everyone Tracy here.
I wanted to show you an that Piccolos have lots of uses, and one of the ones i love is that you can use them as a stencil.
I have used ATC Bubble Background which i have to confess is my favorite Piccolo at the moment.

I then took a 4.5 x 5 card blank , a black strip of card cut to 2 x 5 and a strip of watercolour card cut to 1.9 x 5

For the next step you need a temporary adhesive to hold your "stencil" in place, I always use Crafter's Companion Stick and Spray.

Spray one side of your Piccolo "stencil" and position on the watercolour card.

Pick your medium you wish to use to add colour, I swear by Dylusions, but it is totally up to you.

Be as creative as you wish and apply your colour, I run a heat tool over the area before i remove the Piccolo, and then VERY carefully remove the Piccolo, I have found removing the paper from the Piccolo is the best way.
And of course you now have a pretty coloured Piccolo :)

Once fully dry rub away any excess adhesive and glue to your black strip and then adhere this to your card blank. I then rounded off the bottom two corners and added a simple sentiment.
And here is the finished card, you could be so creative with this method.

Items used:
4.5x5 Card Blank
Watercolour Card
Black Cardstock
Dylsusions Ink Sprays
Crafter's Companion Stick & Spray
Sentiment Stamp.

Happy Crafting
