Easter Gift

 


Spring is trying to arrive. Easter is coming and I've made a sweet little linen and lace egg ornament.

I am definitely a mixed media artist and I love the versatility of the SweetCut Dies.

To make this, I cut a pair of egg shapes from linen. Added a lace hanger and stuffed with fiberfill.

Next, I cut a trio of butterflies using the solid back piece of the Flutterby 2 die. One from lace, one from velvet, and one from sheer trim. Simply sew onto the ornament with beads for the bodies.

You can easily make a basketful in an afternoon.

I Love Spring

Hello!  Lisa here today, and I'm hoping this card brings a little Spring your way if you are stuck with snow like me, hehehe!  This is a very clean and simple card that spotlights the sentiment...


Supplies Used:



To create this card I stamped the heart first with Tuxedo Black ink and colored in with Copics.  I also went over the whole thing with my Wink of Stella Marker in Clear.  I trimmed the image down the middle and spaced it apart, I then used a pencil to draw lines on my cardbase.  Next I stamp the sentiment between the two lines, adhere the heart image over top and round one corner.

I hope you feel a little warmer now, and I hope to see you join in our latest challenge: Girly!

Glam Girl Digital Images in store!

I love that Sweet Stamps has decided to add Digital Images to the store, especially as I like to make ATC's.

 This ATC is 2.5" x 3.5" . I used Distress Inks for the background and Distress inks and Copic Sketch markers to color in the digi image Claire.  I fussy cut out the image and just added a border of cardstock behind her.
 I love how the ATC turned out, so decided to make a card-A2 sized for the fun of it.

 This card uses the Stamp 'Glam Girl Claire'.  I have an old blue Schwinn, so had to make her bike blue: )

Soft Pink, Silver and White


This is such a pretty and delicate card in real life and extremely difficult to photograph.  The pink is lighter than the photo shows but I had to darken the image a bit so the detail of the butterfly would show.

The background was stenciled with light spun sugar distress ink then lightly sprayed with pewter distress spray.  The corner image was embossed with silver embossing powder with a such of shimmer.

The plant was cut from vellum and attached with Paper Glaze. 

The vellum butterfly was heat embossed with white powder, cut out and tool embossed on the body and the wing sections closest to the body, it's attached to the card with foam tape directly under the body.

We are super excited to have you with us this month!

I was so excited when I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the month of March.  I love to be creative and have been crafting since FOREVER !!!  I really enjoy stamping and card making. My latest obsession is working with alcohol ink markers, so coloring up these wonderful stamps from Sweet Stamps has been quite enjoyable.  I'm so happy to be here and can't wait to show you my creations. Enjoy and Happy card making :)
