Winter Blues

Good morning-
Nazeema here, coming by to share a little Wintery inspiration with you.
Christmas is right around the corner and I am already in panic mode!!  I have a list of recipients I typically send cards to and I am nowhere at my quota this year!!  Yikes!!

For my card today, I pulled out the following distress ink pads:
Chipped Sapphire and Broken China.
Keeping it simple, so you can see the 2 colors more clearly.
To add a little more something, I  colors Winka Stella Clear to color directly onto Tiny Snowflake Border and stamped onto the background. The shimmer is really subtle, but I think I like.   :)
The Snowflake was embossed with Bahama Aqua and then I embossed again adding a little bit of Ultra Thick White Enamel Powder.
You can see the cracks in the white enamel, allowed some blue to show through, which looks beautiful in person.

Don't forget, our SweetStamps Challenge is all month long, click the links for all the rules and details.

Thanks for stopping by today!!  See you soon.

'Tis the Season | Mr. & Mrs. Snow!

Hello sweet people!

Britt Bass here and I'm so excited to bring you my first official post as a DT sweetie for Sweet Stamps!

I saw these little pair of Snow People and just KNEW it would make an excellent "snow globe" shaker card!

First I stamped Mr. & Mrs. Snow DUO with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.  I used Distress Ink in Stormy Skies to add a winter-y blue sky above the happy couple and then added stars, highlights and fun details with a white gel pen.

I die cut a large circle in a 6x6 sheet of Christmas tree paper (from my stash) with a Circle Die and then used the same die and a slightly larger scallop circle die to create a frame with green cardstock.
I assembled my shaker with a piece of acetate and filled it with a mixture of Sugar SandClear Glass Micro Beads, and some blue micro beads (from my stash).  I didn't add any sequins or larger pieces because I wanted it to look like a snow bank the swishes from side to side as it shakes!  I finished the card with a layered sticker from my stash!

Thanks for taking a look!

Have a BEAUTIFUL Day!

Leah here today with more fun inspiration for you, using some Piccolos and a fun technique :)

I used several different Piccolo Accents on this piece, and not only did I add them as embellishments, but I also used them stamp the background!  If you would like know more, please visit my blog here :)

To create this piece, I used the following Piccolo Accents:
A165 Flower Tops
A166 Flower Flourishes
LA123 Pop-Up Flowers

You can find these and many more Piccolo elements over at the Sweet Stamps online shop.  I am really looking forward to designing with some of those chipboard words!

Don't forget to come and join us for the two monthly challenges over on the Sweet Stamps Challenge Blog!  Come and have some fun with us :)

Kitty Sweet!

Aloha everyone!  kel from Scraps & photoGRAFFS here today sharing my first project as a DT Sweetie!  I'm so honored to be here and working with such a wonderful and talented team!

I used the cute kitty and one of the sentiments from the Kitty Sweets Clear Stamps Set... He's so cute I couldn't resist!!  I colored him up with copics and added the sentiment to the side along with some fun banners to match.  I even added some Glastique Finishing Glaze to his nose to shine it up a bit, although it's not so shiny in this picture!

Thanks for stopping by today, see you again soon!

A Walk in the Park!

Hello, I am Josette Trunnell.  I am a new design team member for Sweet Stamps.  I would like to share my first project with you.
If I am new to you or you are a Copic Fan, I invite you to stop by my blog for the first installment of my discussion regarding the choice of markers.  Or here is the link to the YouTube Video.  There is a second video link later in this posting as well.

Here is my Card for today.
When I first saw this image, I had to have it!!!  Here is the link to the image:  Glam Girl: Heather

I have a French Bulldog, her name is Pretty in Pink Tigerlilly, "Lilly" and she looks just a ferocious as the digital puppy. I wanted to create a card that showcased that little darling.  I needed to alter or adjust the image to get the Frenchie to be the focus.  That is what I love about Digital Stamps is that they are so versatile.

Original image

I pulled the image into photoshop and enlarged the image until I the Frenchie was the size I needed.  I made a decision about where to crop off Heather and colored her in, using the photo of my Lilly for inspiration, right down to those pink ears.   I used my paper choice to chose markers for Heather's clothing.

This card is very simple to assemble once all the decision were made regarding paper and markers.
The size of the card was determined by the final colored image.  I needed to balance everything so that the finished project complemented the cropped image.  A square card fit the bill.
This is a 5.5 X 5.5 inch square card.  The base card is formed from a heavy white card base, 110#.  The papers are from a 6 X 6 inch pad, Dear Lizzie, by American Craft.

The actual coloring of the image is demonstrated on the following video.

Hope you enjoy my first card.  I will be back next week with another Digi Creation from Sweet Stamps.
Happy Crafting,
Josette

Have a Beautiful Day

Hello Stampers! My name is Kim and I blog over at Lily Patch Stamps. I am one of the new Sweet Stamps Sweeties. This is my first project and I am so excited to have the opportunity to create with the beautiful stamps and dies from the Sweet Stamps store.
I am using the Cabbage Rose stamp and coloring in with Copic markers. The butterfly is a Sweet Cuts die called Flutterby. I love the dainty feel it lends to the card. I stamped the sentiment onto the white cardstock and freehand the banner.
