Hello! Kim here to share this card I made using the Sweet Cuts Flower Trio die. I started by die-cutting the flowers with the green cardstock. After that I cut each flower again in yellow, red and blue cardstocks. This is a great way to use up my small scrap pieces of cardstock. I cut each flower at the base to separate it from the stems and leaves and set it aside. I stenciled the clouds background and added some glass bubbles using dimensional glaze to adhere them onto the card front. I started piecing the flowers together by placing the outlines onto the card. I then placed the solid pieces of the flowers and leaves into the outline creating an inlaid look. Last of all I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock.

Technique Focus: Resist Stamping and Pigment Powders
Hello, Josette here with another Tuesday card. Todays card is a bit different. It involves a technique that has been around for a while with a new twist. So let's look at the card:
This photo does not do the card justice. Here is another shot, double click to see detail.
So this technique is very simple. Stamp the images in embossing powder and heat emboss. Then using a pigment powder, sprinkle on the image, spritz with water to activate and let dry. Once dry, place between a folded piece of computer paper, and either heat with iron, or in my case I ran it through my MINC to remove the embossing powder. In some instances I go back and color the image or enhance it, but with this card I left it be. Mounted in onto a black A2 card base and let it be.
On my blog there is a detailed instruction of this technique: Here
All of the supplies are available at Sweet Stamp. Any pigment powders will work, I used a product by ColourArt, but there are many on the market.
Thank you for stopping by,
Until next week,
Happy Crafting ,
Josette

Happy Day Wishes
Hello! Kim here to share a card I made using the Poppy ATC stamp and coloring it in with Copic markers. I die cut the flowers after I finished coloring. On the middle circle die, I did a 3rd generation stamping to eliminate the black and created a background behind the sentiment. The fun part is creating the embossed multi-color background for the card front. I did it by using my air can and Copic markers with yellow, blue and green colors then embossed it. I finished off the card by adding sequins using Glastique to adhere it to the embossed background and added a ribbon and a pearl accent.

Happy Birthday w/ Hanging Fuchsia
Morning-
Happy gloomy Saturday!! Love the overcast weather, great day to spend outside doing some yard work!!! My middle boy LOVES veggies and I mean LOVES!!! He eats tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers right off the tree/vine! A few months back his class visited a local farm, where they got to pick veggies like carrots, beets, and sugar snap peas! He loved the sugar snap peas that we planted the seeds they give him and this plant is well over 4 feet tall!!! This morning we found the first peas!! Very exciting!!
I've been loving playing with my embossing paste on my cards and I hope you don;t get tired of seeing them!! One this card I used white embossing paste and re-inkers to create the colored background!! Very little goes a long way, remember that if you decide to try this technique out!
Colored the image with Zig Clean Brush Markers again! :) Loving them very much!!
Here is a list of all the SweetStamps products I used and links to the shop:
Simple Greeting Sentiment (Happy Birthday)
I would like to share in the following challenges:
Thank you again for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Tick Tock Kitties
Josette here with my Tuesday installment. Sometimes, you just don't know what to make. I was playing with my piccolo's and embossing them with different powders, when I thought about time and cats looking at the moon. Not sure why I thought of that, but my blog is about little bits of inspiration, so this is a good example.
So here it is. Cute, maybe but interesting yes. This is a very simple card, A2 in size. Primarily made with piccalos that have been embossed with different powders, mounted on dimensional and those cute cats colored with Copics. A couple of ribbons, voila!! a Card.
So, let me tell you about the design and what techniques I used as there are some hidden treasures here. The first one is the background paper. I started with an embossing folder and waxed paper. Then I ran two pieces of card stock with the wax paper in the middle through my MINC and inked it with Distress Inks and a dauber. If you visit my Blog: Wax Paper Technique, I discuss the whole process with up close photos.
Next I embossed the Piccolos: Vintage Clock with various powders. The Frame: REAL_RUST
The Clock and Swirls: VINTAGE_GOLD. These are all popped up on using dimensionals. The stamp set is: What's new Pussycat? It's a party time is from an unknown source that was embossed in gold. Matt is a brown card base and a bronze and Rust colored ribbon completes the pictures.
Well that is all for today,
Stop back next week for more MINC techniques using Sweet Stamp products.
Happy Crafting,
Josette

Hello
Hello! This is Kim and today I am sharing this card using the Cabbage Rose stamp. I embossed the image using clear embossing powder. I then watercolored it in then fussy cut and popped it onto the circle die cut using 3d foam tape. I also sponged the background using blue and green ink. The sentiment was die cut several times to create dimension.
Our monthly challenge is still current. Click on the link on the top right sidebar and join us to win some fun prizes.

Happy Penguin: A Birthday Card
Josette here with another Tuesday Installment: Todays' card is just plain cute!!
This is a fairly simple card with a big bang happy! So let's discuss how I made it and the product used. This is a 5.5" square card. The base layer is white cardstock. The Mat, is a piece of watercolor paper. I randomly dropped Distress reinkers onto my craft sheet, misted with water until very thin, and dragged my paper through the puddles. Once dry, I enhanced by further misting with water and letting dry. I usually created several back grounds at a time, trying out different color combos. Then when I need a base, just pull out the stack and go from there.
The image is from February Release: Cool Penguin. I used Classy Circle Frame and coated it with Enamel_Powder_ENCHANTED_AUBERGINE. Using a circle die, cut out the Penguin just slightly larger than the opening and glued in place. Added a circle of fun foam to the back. Stamped the Birthday greeting from: Kitty_Sweets_Clear_Stamp in black ink and heat embossed with fine clear embossing powder. A black and white polka dotted bow was all that was needed to finish this card.
The Penguin was colored with Copics. I used W0 to add shadow and R24 for the Bow with R27 for shadow. Ready for mailing!!!
Hope you enjoy my Happy Penguin Card, Come back next week for more card ideas!
Happy Crafting,
Josette

Butterflies and Flowers
Hello, Josette here with another Tuesday post. Today is short and sweet but I would like to share a technique that can be used for all the piccolos at Sweet Stamps.
This is from a shadow box that I created using a resit paper and distress inks for the background. The flowers were created from Glassine by Ranger and misted with dye ink. The butterfly is the focus for this posting however.
I started with Butterfly Accents Piccolo. Added Enamel_Powder_ENCHANTED_AUBERGINE. after coating the image with _Enamel_Powders_adhesive.
Here they are embossed with the powders. There is Vintage Black, Mermaid Tears, Mardi Gras, and the darker purple is where I mixed one of these with a darker purple.
Next I glued gemstones and crystals onto the butterfly.
I hope you will explore the Piccolos and Piccolo Enamel Powders and create your own enchanted creations.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting
