Framed Garden Poppies

Hi everyone-
Have you missed me?  Well, I hope so, cause I have missed you all!
Things are still hectic around here, but they are going a lot smoother.

I've been staring at my stamps for weeks, so today I decided to actually make the time to do some crafting!  The idea for this card has been buzzing I n my head, since having a conversation with my friend Amanda!   So I had to get it out.
All the items used can be found at SweetStamps and are linked back to the shop.
I stamped Italian Writing in Tuxedo black ink and sponged Antique Linen.
Then I laid a thin layer of translucent embossing paste, using Kitchen Floor stencil.
To accentuate Poppies Garden flowers; which were colored with Copics and fussy cut, I applied a black frame around it!

In the picture, the card looks a little warped but, once I put it between a few heavy books, it will straighten out!

I hope you are all haveing a great weekend, see you soon.
Don't forget to come back tomorrow for June's Anything But A Card Challenge.

Hugs.

DIY Coloring Page

Aloha friends!  kel from Scraps and photoGRAFFS here today sharing with you a sorta DIY coloring page!!

This card is made using the Chalkboard Flowers #2 Clear set and the sentiment is from the Simple Greetings Clear set

Let me just say HOW FUN this card was to make.  I stamped a bunch of different of the flowers from the set all over the background, trying my best to not leave white space and trying not to stamp on top of another stamp.  I made it like a coloring page!!  You know, I never had much interest in those coloring books for adults but I TOTALLY have interest in them when they're ones I make myself!! haha!!

Thanks for stopping by today, see you again soon!!

Floral Distressing

Hello again.  Time for my Tuesday installment.  Today is a bit different.  I love techniques and spend a great deal of time "playing'.  My favorite application is to make backgrounds, so that is what I did.
Take a look at the card, and I will share the process.
This card was made with just backgrounds and then the image was stamped and colored.  Both the focal image and the background was the mostly the same inks but on different papers.

Close up of Tag:  double click on image to see better
Here is the background that is hard to see on the finished card.  Using distress stain, I placed them in puddles on my craft mat.  This group is Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feather, Frayed Burlap.  Then in the center of all of these stains added picket fence and ran Water Color paper through the puddles.  In this instance the paper was wet.

For the tag, I did the same, but on a manilla tag.  Inks were: Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber with Picket Fence Stain.  The tag was dry and I quickly dried to keep the Picket Fence "White".  Then I stamped in a black Pigment ink with this stamp:Black Eyed Susans and colored them carefully, just to enhance the color but stay with the basic background palette.
The Picture does not do this card justice.  It finishes as an A2 size, top folding.  Perfect for any occasion.

Keep Calm

Hello! This is Kim, sharing this card using this new stamp set called Keep Calm. I love the serene look of the image and the flowing hair makes it so much fun to color. I used Copics and added yellow for a glowing highlight. I sprayed some splash ink to create the background. I then stamped the sentiment and added a button and bow.

Happy 'Bird'day!!!

Hello friends!! kel here today with these little flying friends are from the Happy Bird Day clear set.  Love these two cuties and that sentiment!  How fun is this birthday wish?!?

I colored them up with my Copics and then laid them across the card... it was actually laid out like this to cover up the seam!!  I had only one square-ish piece of this PP left and it wasn't big enough to use as a card front, so I cut it in half and separated it so it would fit on the card!!  Yay for being sneaky!!!  haha.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!!

I created this card using Pretty Petals and Betty's Bloom Sweet Cuts dies and the Framed Handwritten Words stamp set.

I just love these two telling secrets!!  haha!  And I went with another CAS card for this one too... and I even broke out the super old decorative scissors!! I needed a chevron/zig zag but my punches are in a drawer that is blocked off by some boxes in my craft room rehaul... so I had to get a little creative!!

Have a Beautiful Day

Hello! Kim here today to share this card using dies and stencils. I stenciled the Roof Tiles pattern onto watercolor paper to give it some texture. I used three different colors and a blending tool to create the stenciled background. I used Sweet Stamps' Flutterby Sweet Cuts to die cut three butterflies and adhered it glued the cut out and solid image to each other I folded the wings up for some dimension. I then added the rhinestones to each of the butterfly's body. Next was to adhere the stencil cardstock onto the card front then placed the butterflies on top. I saved the sentiment for last so I know where to place it.

A Birthday Shaker Kitty Card

Hello again.  Well I have a fun card for today.
This card is very simple, but has a little twist that makes it fun.  The Cupcake is a shaker.
Here is a close up.

I started out with a stamped image and colored with with copics.  then I used and exact knife to cut out the "cake" part.  Using a black marker, outlined the cutout.  Then placed foam tape around the opening, added a few glittering elements and closed it up with a piece of white paper.  Very simple.
The whole thing was mounted onto to an A2 card Base, added a sentiment that was heat embossed with clear powder, added a bow and it is ready for a Cat Loving Birthday recipient.

The stamp set that was used is:  Kitty Sweets

Oh Happy Day

Hello! Kim here to share this card I made using the Sweet Cuts Flower Trio die. I started by die-cutting the flowers with the green cardstock. After that I cut each flower again in yellow, red and blue cardstocks. This is a great way to use up my small scrap pieces of cardstock. I cut each flower at the base to separate it from the stems and leaves and set it aside. I stenciled the clouds background and added some glass bubbles using dimensional glaze to adhere them onto the card front. I started piecing the flowers together by placing the outlines onto the card. I then placed the solid pieces of the flowers and leaves into the outline creating an inlaid look. Last of all I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock.
