Meet the 2012 SweetStamps.com Design Team and Senior Designers "Pick 6"

This is going to be a long post, but we have soooo much to share with you! There is not a challenge this week, but we will pick two random winners for $10 (each) of SweetStamps rubber stamps from those who post a comment on this blog. Upcoming challenges are listed above and will resume next week just in time for Valentine's Day...how sweet!

We are excited to introduce you to the new members of the
2012 SweetStamps.com Design Team!

There are two creative ladies joining us from Canada:

Eve Tzortzis  from Toronto, Ontario
Hello everyone! I'm super thrilled to have been chosen to work with this wonderful company and design for SweetStamps! I have been an avid and obsessed craft nut for as long as I can remember and my obsession keeps growing! In the last year my passion for designing has leaped to a whole new level in terms of planning and creating for others in need of customized paper goodies for their life's occasions. The birth of Give A Hoot Designs came into play last year and I've been having a blast working with different people and helping their ideas come to life for their sweet event. I love being challenged and this can definitely do it for me! I participate in many blog challenges and have been honored to join a handful of design teams over the years. I can't wait to put forth my creations for SweetStamps and see what you all create. Please visit my blog and Facebook page to learn about me and Give A Hoot Designs by Eve! Hugs to you all!

Linda Jover from Windsor, Ontario
I have been crafting for 25 years. I have 3 lovely girls who are married. I only started blogging and making cards one year ago. I still have lots to learn and I love to experiment. I think this experience will teach me so much more. I love to go to flea markets and pick up old things and turn it into a craft piece. You will see a lot of pink in my work as my house is all decorated in shabby chic. I love pink!!!!! I have met so many wonderful crafters through blogging and I hope to meet many more!!!!

Finishing up the team, from the U.S., are these three talented ladies:

Jenn Cochran from Grand Junction, Colorado

I AM - a mother, card maker, scrapbook teacher, a chef, nature lover, a recycler, A COLORADO GIRL, Copic lover, designer paper hoarder, stamp collector, flower keeper, rhinestone organizer! I LOVE crafts and hope you will enjoy seeing my SweetStamps creations as much as I have enjoyed making them!

Calypso Bastian from Oxnard, California
My name is Nazeema Bastian, but I am known as "Calypso" in the blogging community and I live in Southern California.
I am engaged to my best friend and together we have two amazing boys ages 15 y/o and 2 y/o. I am a SAHM and a full time student pursuing my Nursing degree. So when I'm not enthralled within my books, running after a busy 2 year old and/or running back and forth for sports, you can find me in my crafty corner. I have been crafting since 1998, but only started blogging around 2010. I do not have a particular style that I tend to stick to, I just do as I feel and want. I do love to try new techniques and I am always in for a good sketch.
I am honored to have been invited to be a part of the SweetStamps Design Team and I am looking forward to a very creative and exciting 6 months with these talented ladies. I hope that you will visit me: Calypso's Cards and follow my crafting journey with the SweetStamps Design Team.

Shelly Schmidt from Wheaton, Illinois
I am a wife to Ray - we celebrate 25 years this month, a mother to three great kids - Chris who is living in Breckenridge, CO, Katie who is in grad school at Ohio State and Stephi who is at Michigan State. I have always enjoyed creating - sewing, smocking, doing macrame, crocheting and knitting... I went to a Stampin Up party with a friend, and like so many others the love for paper crafting began! I am a Technique Junkie and really like to try different techniques on my cards. I also enjoy challenges to 'stir up' my creativity. I met SweetStamps at a stamping trade show and was smitten instantly! I am so honored and thrilled to be a part of this team and look forward to creating with the great designs.
Welcome Ladies!
I know we're all excited to see your creations for next week's challenge!

And now...
This week I've asked our returning Senior Design Team Members to put together a "Pick 6" list of their Top 6 favorite items from SweetStamps. I know this was a difficult task because I'm a crafter too and I love ALL my stuff! But their challenge was to list a few things they ALWAYS have in their crafting space that they would feel "lost" without! I don't know if I could pick just 6 things if the bad guys took all my stuff and made me choose, I do agree with the Distress pads, Stacey. I love them for many reasons. My Judikins 3 in One Tape runner is my all time fav glue item but those teeny tiny glue dots are right up there. For coloring, I would have to say my Prisma pencils. I love Copics but its not good to fall asleep coloring and I have done that and made a mess too many times. And plain old Kraft paper along with Cryogen are my go to papers. So just throw a stamp at me, and I can make something with those items. Anything else laying around is up for grabs.

Let me start out by saying how much I enjoy seeing the DT's creations week in and week out - can't wait to see what the new DT shares with us, I'm sure it will be equally wonderful!

If I was stranded on an island, what 6 things would I take? My copics (all of them which I know is well over 6), my ATG tape gun, embossing folders, dies, my computer (I'm a digi fan) and last but not least my DP I've been hoarding for years!

Congratulations to the new design team! I would really have a hard time picking just six things as my favorites! I'd have to say though, that all things sparkly catch my attention just like a magpie! :)

There are so many great things to choose from, I don't see how anyone can pick favorites! I will say that the Memento black ink is essential if you have copics, and the Quickie glue pen is perfect when you need a narrow line of glue, and I wouldn't ever use chalk if I didn't have my Dove blender!
