This was a very fun card to make. Using Cabbage Rose stamp, I stamped it randomly onto white card stock and then inked with Spun Sugar distress ink.
Pre-Inking. Note I turned the card around in the final version. |
Next, I used watercolor pain in a red and green and laid down an irregular patch of red and green.
Stamped the image onto each of the two sections and cut them out. By doing this I get the look of shading and variation of color without actually coloring. By stamping last, the ink stays bright and crisp.
After cutting out, I layered them and added highlights (lowlights) with a black glaze pen, a placed a few rhinestones in the center.
A black ribbon finishes the look. Rhinestones were added to the ribbon and on the center of one of the background roses for added bling. This was mounted on a pink matt and then finally onto a White A2 Card base.
Until next week,
Happy Crafting

So pretty, I love how you did the background and added just a touch of color. Awesome bow too.
Love the full colored rose with the partial colored background...great design!
