Keep Calm

Hello my fine feathered friends! Aimee here with a fun mixed media tag to share with you. Hope you like it!

So gather your supplies and we can create this together.
- not shown: Enamel Powder Adhesive Fluid, E6000 glue, and various embellishments.

Grab a tag and ink that baby up with Distress Inks. Throw some water at it, dry it with your heat tool and do a little stamping.

Grab a smaller tag and repeat! Then take your adhesive fluid and rub it around the bottom edge. Dip it I your Enamel Powder mix that you've been saving up, and heat it to melt the powder.

Paint the frame with Silks or whatever you'd like, then randomly sprinkle your powder mix on it. Heat it up. Slap gesso or white acrylic paint on the small tag, dry it with your heat tool, and stamp your words. Adhere this to the larger tag.

Add the frame using E6000 to glue it down. Use Cranberry Wine Enamel Powder (don't forget your adhesive fluid) to coat two swirls and a heart . Heat them up, let them cool, and add them to the tag using E6000 glue. Add any embellishments you like, put ribbon through the hole in the tag, and you're done.

Butterfly Dreaming

Hello my darlings! Aimee here with a new project to show you... Hope you're in the mood for butterflies!

Today's project is a tag ad features two new Enamel Powder colors- Girl's Night Out (shown on the butterfly above) and Enchanted Aubergine. Both are awesome but I have to say, I'm in love with Girl's Night Out!!

So gather up some goodies:
Tag, card, whatever ya want to work on, patterned paper, adhesive, inks, sprays (I used Smooch Spritz), white acrylic paint or gesso, heat gun, embellishments, quote sticker, stencil or stamp.
Piccolos butterflies in two sizes, Enamel Adhesive Fluid, enamel powders (Girl's Night Out & Enchanted Aubergine), Metallic Copper Enamel Gel

Get your tag out and start coloring the surface, I used a few Distress inks & Smooch Spritz. Be sure to dry with your heat tool.

Add some patterned paper and more ink.

Use a stencil and ink/spray your tag with a few different colors (or use a background stamp).

Cool, huh!!

Repeat using Enamel Adhesive Fluid and Girl's Night Out powder. Heat that baby up!

Now coat one large butterfly with Girl's Night Out, and toe smaller butterflies with Enchanted Aubergine. Add some card stock behind the large butterfly and trim.

Now use your finger and lightly edge the tag with acrylic paint or gesso. Slap some in the lower right corner and add your quote over it. Now embellish! :)
Add butterflies as shown and for the Copper Enamel Gel on the tag. Set aside to dry and there ya go.

Butterfly Art

Hello my lovelies! Aimee here, posting a little late! Today I have a fun little altered art piece to share using our Large Butterflies Piccolos.

You'll need the one butterfly, Micro White Enamel Powder, Adhesive Fluid, and other goodies.

Coat a large butterfly with adhesive fluid and micro white powder and heat it up. Don't worry if it's not perfect (actually the paints look better if this isn't perfect.)

Now start adding color. I used Silks in three colors but you could use all kinds of things- Alcohol inks, Copic or similar markers, etcetera... One color at a time, allowing to dry in between.

I used a piece of corrugated cardboard for the base. Slapped some Silks on it and also some of my Enamel Powder mix ( dump all of my Enamel Powder left overs into a container). Add embellishments that you like, back the butterfly with card stock and add it to the piece. There ya go! You can put this on a little easel, or if you'd rather hang it, purchased our little stick on hangers (they are inexpensive and awesome!).

Let Your Art Blossom

This started out to simply be a quick pendant... Then a trip through the clearance corner at the craft store changed my plans.

Using the Piccolos Pinwheel flowers, choose a solid shape and a frame. Coat the solid piece with enamel gel and the frame piece with Micro White enamel powder. Once the pieces are dried/cooled/set, use a toothpick to put E600 glue onto the frame piece and attach it to the solid piece, a little offset.

Grab a mini canvas (or even a tag or card) and slap some Silks acrylic on it. Man these paints are awesome!
Once they dry, continue to embellish your project (I added a stamp, washi tape, and some spray ink).

Find a word sticker that you love and add it to the project. Add your flower. Put some Glastique or E600 in the center of the flower and fill with tiny beads or glitter.

Are You Inspired?

Aimee here with a fun canvas ATC to share with you.

I picked up a package of black canvas ATCs at a craft store awhile back. They are a lot of fun to play with!

Supplies:

Enamel gels- black, white
Enamel powders- Shamrock Dreams, Turquoise Lagoon, and my left over mixture :)
Emamel Adhesive , E600
Resin light bulb (Prima), sequins, heat tool, toothpick, canvas ATC

Randomly put adhesive fluid onto the canvas bad drop enamel powders onto it. Tap off excess and heat that baby up!

Punch our one of the swirls and coat in black enamel gel. Set aside to dry.
Place the bulb onto the canvas using E600 glue. Once the swirl is dry, use the toothpick to put E600 on the back of it and place it onto the ATC.
Use the enamel gels to make dots on the ATC.
Use E600 to add sequins at random.

Journey

Hello my lovelies! Aimee here with a quick pendant to share with you. I work part time at a car dealership and I thought I'd like something kind of mechanical related to wear.

Supplies:
Enamel Gel-Copper
Jump ring, toothpick, paintbrush, word sticker, bling, glitter, mica flakes, tiny beads, Ranger Alcohol Inks and felt to apply them with

Remove the blue liner from the front of the charm. Apply Alcohol Inks. Paint entire front of charm with Glastique and quickly add glitter and mica. Let dry.

Punch out the smallest little set of gears from the Piccolo set and coat with Enamel Gel. Set aside to dry.

Once the gears are dry, start assembling the charm. Choose your word sticker and paint the back with Glastique and adhere to the charm. Paint over the front of the sticker with Glastique. Use the toothpick and add E600 to the back of the gears and add to the charm. Use E600 to add a little bling. Paint over charm again with Glastique and add more glitter and some tiny beads.

Let the entire thing dry, add a jump ring, and put on a necklace.

One Flower Three Ways

Today I have to share with you Stacy's Stacking Flowers with three different products used on them. I LOVE these flowers especially because of the detail in them.

Up for consideration are: Globecraft Enamel Powder and Gel along with Dylusions Ink Spray.

The Enamel Powders are awesome because they melt right down and preserve the detail- even with multiple coats (this is two coats).

The Enamel Gel completely covers up the details.

The ink spray goes on super we'll- nice and even and the details look great.

There are so many fun ways to color the Piccolo shapes. So go experiment!

5. Now use that glue gun and add your pretty pink Piccolo flower. Add bling to the center.

Sweet Little Flower Pendant

Hello my fine feathered friends! Aimee here with a super sweet, shabby chic-ish pendant to share with you.

This came together so quickly- literally 20 minutes and it was finished. It takes longer for the E600 glue to set than it does to create this cutie!

Supplies:
Piccolos LA106 Lacey's Stacking Flowers
Enamel Powder Adhesive Fluid
Enamel powders: Aged Pink & Aged White
Glastique- both matte & glossy
E600 glue
Cord necklace
Glue on bail
Toothpick
Clamp or clothespin
Heat gun
Bling or pearl for flower center (this flat backed pearl is from Close To My Heart)
Paintbrush

Let's make it!

1. Punch out three sizes of flowers.

2. Coat each flower with adhesive fluid. Coat largest & smallest flowers with Aged Pink and the middle sized one with Aged White. Heat them up to melt the powder and activate the adhesive.

3. Coat the two pink flowers with matte Glastique and the white one with glossy Glastique.

4. Start stacking! Use E600 glue to adhere the flowers together and use a clamp or clothespin (or even place under a heavy book) to hold them down for a few minutes to ensure a good hold.

5. Glue the bail onto the back of the flower stack using E600. Be sure to clamp it down for a couple of minutes to ensure a good hold!

6. Add your flower center, string onto a necklace, and wear it! :)
