Butterflies and Flowers

Hello, Josette here with another Tuesday post.  Today is short and sweet but I would like to share a technique that can be used for all the piccolos at Sweet Stamps.

This is from a shadow box that I created using a resit paper and distress inks for the background.  The flowers were created from Glassine by Ranger and misted with dye ink.  The butterfly is the focus for this posting however.

I started with Butterfly Accents Piccolo.  Added Enamel_Powder_ENCHANTED_AUBERGINE. after coating the image with _Enamel_Powders_adhesive.

Here they are embossed with the powders.  There is Vintage Black, Mermaid Tears, Mardi Gras, and the darker purple is where I mixed one of these with a darker purple.

Next I glued gemstones and crystals onto the butterfly.

I hope you will explore the Piccolos and Piccolo Enamel Powders and create your own enchanted creations.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting

Happy Birthday To You

Hello! Today's card is for Sweet Stamps post. I am using another stamps set from Sweet Stamps new release called Party Mouse. I also pulled out my stencil for the background. I colored the mouse in using Copic markers. I watercolored the blue background. I die-cut both the image and background and adhered them to each other using 3D tape. The tire stencil was done using the ink sponging technique then I cut it in half on the diagonal, added a tiny strip of orange cardstock and stamped the sentiment to the top portion of the card.

GDT Claire

Hello SweetStamps.com fans!

Guest Designer Claire is back today with her second card!!!!

Ready for her adorable card?

Here is a word from her....

Hey,

I'm back again with my second Guest post for Sweet Stamps..

If you missed my first post you can see it here.

I chose the Christmas Mouse stamp for my second card...I loved him when I saw him shortly after Christmas, but knew I could make him work for other occasions.

I printed out the Mouse quite big deliberately because I wanted him to be the main focus of my card. I coloured him using Promarkers.

I played around with lots of different layouts until I realised that he would work best with a 'wallpaper' style background.

I used stamped the birthday wishes multiple times to create a fun background behind the mouse.

The funky triangle paper came from my recent trip to Amsterdam from a random, non crafty shop.

The glittery silver strip is washi tape - that I keep for 'best' LOL.

My whole card is a tribute to using things in different ways - don't be afraid of using your Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween stamps for other occasions - your stamps have so many uses, especially digital stamps, as you can make them as big or small as you want.

Go over to the Sweet Stamps shop and have a look around at all the goodies they have.

I've really enjoyed this mini two post guest series, big thanks to the Sweet Stamps team for having me with them.

Froggy Friends Circles

Hi Friends!  kel here today sharing a super fun card with you today!!

This is from the Froggy Friends clear set and they are sooooooo cute!!  I paired these two cuties up with some punched circles in coordinating colors... I tried to keep the patterns on the punched circles as similar as possible so that it wouldn't distract too much from these little friends.  I added a little stitched border around the circles with a black pen, and then stamped on this sentiment from the Simple Greetings clear stamp set.  I just love this set... the sentiments are so perfect and the font is super cute too!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!!

Happy Day Wishes

Hello! Kim here with a Spring card. I am using my Kuretake brushes to make my card for today's Sweet Stamps post. The stamp is called Parrot Tulips ATC.
I watercolored the tulips then ran it through my die-cut machine to create a stitched label. I also watercolored the background. Last was to add some embellishments and the image is popped up using 3D tape.

Pretty in Pink: Penny Pony

Josette here with another Tuesday Blog Post.  Today I have the cutest card!!

This is from the new April release:  Penny_Pony_clear_stamp_set_.  I love those chestnut horses, so what could be more perfect that a happy pony in Pink.

This card is simple, one layer and easy to just pop in the mail.  First I colored the image with copics, added some glimmer to the saddle pad and bridle with a clear Wink of Stella.  Trimmed the bottom to curve.  I then cut my card stock to 4.25" x 11, using the pony image to mark the curve, trimmed the bottom off of the front.  Added a pink card stock to the inside of the card a few sequins to the from and it is ready to be sent to a horse lover, or a little girl who is mad for horses.

My little granddaughter rides a big 18+ draft cross  named Richter Scale, that looks a lot like this pony.   He even sports a pink saddle pad at times,  such a good sport!

That is all for today, stop back by next week for another Tuesday Card.
Happy Crafting,
Josette

Hello, Kim here to share with you a quick and simple card. These cute little kittens come from the newly released set from Sweet Stamps called What's New Pussycat.

Eskimo Folklore

Morning everyone.
Nazeema here!! Today I am sharing a card made with the beautiful quote from the Eskimo Folklore stamp set.

I have a hard time with sympathy cards, not making them, just finding the right words.

That is why I love the sentiment because you can use it on the front of a card like I have or on the inside.

I created the background using Tim Holtz distress inks:
Then I lightly misted the watercolor paper, so that colors would blending, but not too much water.  I didn't want them to run into one another too much.

I then took my Tim Holtz Splatter brush and Lumin-Arte: Heavenly White, to give it some shimmery splotched.  Stamped the scroll star stamp with pigment ink.

The sentiment is embossed using SweetStamps Detailed White embossing powder on Parchment paper.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs.

Hi There!!

kel here sharing a super fun spring card today!  This cutie is the Spring Bunny clear stamp set from the April 2016 new release... have you seen this release??  It's HUGE and SO CUTE!!!

SweetStamps-SpringBunny-kelA-WM

I colored her up with some super bright colors... I've been using some bright colors recently and just love it!!!  Anywhoo... I trimmed her out once I finished coloring her up, and then popped her up on some 3d dots.  I wanted to keep this card completely focused on this big 'ol girl, so kept the embellishments at a minimum.  Just some bling in the corner and a small sweet sentiment that comes with the set.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope to see you again soon!!

Poppy

Hello Stampers! This is Kim.  I have a card today using Sweet Stamp's Poppy Vase set. I did some watercoloring using Zig's Real Brush Watercolor pens.
I had some leftover floral background papers that I used for the card front. I also added some sewing to add texture. After the watercolor image was dried I turned it into a tag and popped it onto the card using 3D tape.

Guest Designer Claire

Hello SweetStamps.com fans!

We'd like to give a warm welcome to Claire!!
Be sure to visit her blog and leave her some love!!

----------

Hey,

Exciting day today.

This is my first post of two as a guest designer for Sweet Stamps - they make beautiful digi stamps and I am super excited to be working with two of their fun stamps.

I chose the fun Denise Glam Girl stamp for my first project.

Before I start 'building' a card, I like to lay the elements out and see how they will work. Here's a rare photo of that process.

What can you see? A shaker pouch, a card blank, three pieces of card, friend die and sentiment stamp.

The Denise stamp reminded me of a good friend, so I decided this card should be for her.

I really enjoyed colouring the stamp and the great thing about digi's is that I get to print a sheet of them and try out various colourways before choosing the final one, then I still have a sheet of coloured stamps ready to go for later.

I fussy cut the stamp, as I wanted her to sit on the front of my shaker card.

Constructing the card was very easy to do.

I love the girly, but funky feel of the card. I know my friend will love it too.

Visit the Sweet Stamps store, to check out Denise and all the other fun stamps and products that are available.

I'll be back with my next project soon!!

Cx
