Shorebirds Swing Card

Hello Stampers, I'm here to share with you a card for Challenge 184 - Masculine Birthday. Remember to go post you project so that you can be eligible to win some cool SweetStamps product!  I decided to keep things simple for my project because this is a masculine card. Guys just don't like lots of extras! I can say that the photos just don't do the card justice! It's better in real life with all of the vibrant colors!
I used shell buttons and tiny real shells to decorate two corners. The top right corner has a little jumping dolphin and adds a bit of whimsy. The art work was done by stamping Shorebirds 3011 onto glossy card stock and then I sponged on ink and used water based markers to complete the image.
Once the card is opened. You can see the sentiment and a place to write a personal message. I used the SweetStamps sentiment Special  Day 9114. Making fancy fold cards is fun! If you would like to give it a try, visit my blog for more information and a materials list.
Before I leave you today, I would like to say that I had great fun creating projects for you this month! I also wish to thank you for letting me share those with you! I hope you gained some inspiration and good ideas for your projects!

Double Shot Coffee Cards

Hi, Everyone! Today I have a fun pair of cards using Globecraft & Piccolo's Accents and Embossing Enamels.

Most days I design singular projects, but sometimes I find a layout or design I really like and I make a set of cards that coordinate, but aren't exact duplicates...like these cards!

To make these cards, you'll need a few items from the G&P shop:

other supplies:
patterned papers: Amy Tangerine - Sketchbook
stamps: Stampin' Up! Perfect Blend, Gorgeous Grunge
cardstock: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
rhinestones
foam tape

I kept the basic design the same on both cards. I varied the patterned papers, cardstock colors, embossing enamels and accent placement.

The coffee cup on each card is embossed in Micro Black. I stamped the cup three times - once fully for the base, partially for each lid and partially for each wrap (on scraps of patterned paper). After fussy cutting, I adhered the wrap directly to the cup base and the lids were adhered using foam tape.

I had to include close ups of the accents...see how clean the edges are?! I love the natural color, but you can use markers, paint, 3D Gels, glitter glue...whatever you want to use to match them to your projects! (Sometimes there are tiny bits on the edges, but you can use an emery board/fine sand paper to smooth them away.)

The flourishes on the second card are 2 of the flourishes, one flipped over, glued close together. (These flourishes also make GORGEOUS hearts!)

You're Invited

It's a Barbeque. Kinda. It's actually a barbeque invitation kind of day.

The set I used is one of the new items over at the Globecraft and Piccolo shop.

Here's the rundown on the items I used.

-Pure Platinum Embossing Powder (the utensils and the grill rack area)
- Deep Red 3D Gel (flames)
- Orange 3D Gel  (flames)
- A tiny Paint Brush
- medium Green stamp pad (This one from SweetStamps is similar in shade)
- a blue Stamp Pad (this one is very similar)
- an Invitation Stamp
- Card Stock

I used a paint brush to make grass shaped lines with the Embossing Powder Adhesive and embossed the grass using the Mossy Glen Powder. Then I used my favorite tool (my finger) and smeared the green in to fill in the grassy area. Using a torn sponge, light tap a blue toned background for the sky.

Emboss the utensils and the grill rack area with the platinum - I painted these in with the paintbrush and the Embossing Powder Adhesive.

Add "handles" to the utensils with the Deep Red 3D Gel. and set aside to dry.

Emboss your words from the Set with the Deep Blue Sky Embossing Powder. Stamp the You're Invited Image at an angle on the card. Align and glue the wording below the stamp.

Now the grill itself - I used three layers of the MicroBlack Embossing powder. It gives a nice texture to the grill parts.

The flame was done by dotting the Honey Mustard and Orange 3D Gel and running a toothpick through it to mix the colors.

Adhere everything down using Glastique - I used gloss, but it also comes in a Matte Finish.

Add the details inside - Mail and enjoy the great food and great company of friends.

On the Hunt- Masculine Birthday

We are the most spoiled DT out there I think!  We get to play with lots of goodies at Sweet Stamps- the latest- The Globecraft Piccalo Accents and Enamel Embossing Powders.
The texture from the Enamel EP's is so awesome- and I love the Copper accents in the Copper color- hope you can see that in the picture on the letters and the base of the deer. The top of the deer is embossed with Brownstone EP. This is one of the pieces from the On the Hunt Accents set. You can see the full set HERE. I think I know a couple of guys that would enjoy this card : )

We hope yo see you join us for the Masculine Birthday Challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly

Vintage Black Enamel

My Piccolo project for today features Vintage Black enamel.  I love the beautiful mix of black, silver and gold in this enamel.  It is such a rich color.  Please ignore the plum tones to the above picture, it was taken inside under lamplight and I am unable to adjust the color.  In real life this is warm gray/taupe color.  I used the gorgeous French Oval Piccolo as a backdrop, adding a Vintage Dress Form Piccolo.

This picture is more the true color.  I added an insert to my French Oval Frame on which I stamped Sweet Stamps French Writing with Black Soot Distress ink, then shaded the oval.  On my card base, I stamped a Flourish and again added ink around the edges.   The lovely lady, Sasha, is a new release Glam Girl from Sweet Stamps.   I thought she was perfect for this card.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Weathervane - Masculine Birthday

This week's challenge on the SweetStamps blog is Masculine Birthday and this is my (Roxie) addition to the challenge.

I used a Globecraft and Piccolo Weathervane accent covered with Vintage Black enamels as my focal point for the card after masking and sponging with Ranger Distress Inks.

More card info can be found on my blog post.

The following items can be found in the SweetStamps store:

A Trio of Trading Cards

Happy Monday everyone! leslierahye with a trio of Altered Trading Cards. I LOVE ATCs--they are little pieces of artwork on a 2½×3½" card! Piccolo Accents are perfect for these!
I began with some pre-designed collages on colored  collage sheets. I adhered the collages to my ATC chipboard base. Next I applied Enamel Powder Adhesive to the edges of each ATC and enamel powder to match the base collage. Enchanted Aubergine to the photographer, Temple Stone for the jewels Victorian chic, and Deep Blue for the Papillons. A bit of the powder or an accent powder like Mermaid Tears and Bahama Aqua was sprinkled and melted in a Frantage technique fashion. I love that spill of melted powder.
Accents were made with the piccolos and the melted enamel molds. A bit of glue to add them to the card completed the piece.
I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by today!

Floral Anything Goes

Hey stampers, it's Saturday again and time for anoher guest designer post.  The challenge this week is Anything Goes and I have another floral card for you! Remember a few weeks ago when I shared how I became a SweetStamps customer? Well, I was drawn to their Parchment Craft products and have been playing with them over the last few years. I have various parchment projects completed but I never turned them into cards until now!

I started with two images of the Pansy Layers Frame which I heat embossed onto vellum with fine white detail powder. I turned one of the images over and started coloring with various colored pencils using the Gamsol Technique and then I cut out the central part of the image which I layered onto the other image.

First I took the second image and pierced the lacey edge using a two needle tool, staggered magnetic grid and the piercing/perforating pad. The next thing I did was to take a white gel pen and color in the solid white edge line and fill the center dot  on the fleur de lis motif. The center section was layered with dimensional foam dots to add depth and dimension.  I strategically placed the foam under the center of the pansy so it wouldn't show through the parchment paper. I took the two layers of parchemnt and layered them onto an embossed piece of card stock. The card stock was then layered onto white designer paper. The whole thing was mounted onto a green card stock A2 base. Then the pearls, trim and ribbon were added to finish things off.  I hope you like this project and were inspired to try some Parchement Craft! Be sure to enter the Anything Goes 183 Challenge.  For a detailed materials list, visit my blog.
