Happy Saturday everyone!!   Time for another creation of this weeks weekly challenge over at  Sweetstamps!  This weeks challenge is:
Anything But A Card

For my project this week, I decided to make a corner book marker!  I have not made theses in so long, that I almost forgot how to make them!!  LOL.  They are fairly simple to make and it's a fun way to dress up the page in your book, while it awaits your return!!  :)

Singing in the Rain - Mixed Media

Hello! Lisa here with something completely different and new to me... mixed media art! I always admire Mixed Media Art, and I sure do love getting messy, so I decided with this weeks challenge being anything but a card I would go for it...

I started by applying ModgePodge to watercolor cardstock. I then tore and adhered various tissue type paper.  I then went over all of that with more ModgePodge.  Next I applied Gesso with my finger and rubbed over the entire panel.  Then it was time for some waterpaiting fun with my peerless transparent watercolors.  I stamped my umbrella with a waterproof ink and let dry.  I hand wrote my sentiment and went back to color in my umbrella.  Finally I added some splats of distress spray stain and some glastique gloss for a raindrop effect.

I absolutely love how this turned out and I am so proud of myself for finally taking the plunge and creating something new.

Snowy Day Card(s)

For my Sweet Stamps project this week, I continued on my mission to find ways to use up some of my (collection of ) Designer Paper.

  On this card, I punched 1" circles and layered them on the background. I added the snowman which is colored with Copics and highlighted with Sakura Jelly Roll pen. The snowflake is Globecraft and Piccolo using Siam Silver Enamel EP.
  I finished off using my DP paper strips by making an 'extra' card creating a Herringbone pattern.

  My daughter likes one, and hubby likes the other.......

We had a little dusting ~ 2 inches of snow here and we are expecting more tomorrow and Friday- to total about 10 inches.  I bet we will be seeing some new snowmen pop up around the neighborhood.

Sweet as can be

 

 Love this Ice Cream Scream set, it comes with 9 images (one is a sweet little cherry) and four sentiments...a full variety of ice cream treats!

The image was colored with Chameleon Pens: PK3, YG3, BR2, RD4, VO4 and the background with Copic markers: B000, 0000.  

The 1/16" and 1/4" Perfect Layers was used to cut the green and pink borders for the image panel and 1/8" ruler for the sentiment panel border.

Glitter Adhesive was applied to the hearts to hold on the Microfine Glitter, such a nice sparkle!

Silly Girl

Silly girl there's no such thing as too much wine!

This sentiment makes for a fun bottle tag.

I used a standard shipping tag and distressed the edges first.

Then I stamped the wine glass and bottle images in different colors.

Attached some sequins and shimmer and a pretty ribbon.

My vision was for a festive design.

Hopefully I got my point across.  

My tag also fits in with this week's challenge.
