Floral Thank You

Good morning people! Britt Bass here from Pink Paper Crowns!

I'm dropping by today to bring you a little card that I made using some beautiful floral images from the ATC line in the Sweet Stamps shop!\

For this card I took the Daffodils ATCParrot Tulips ATC, and the Black Eyed Susans ATC red rubber stamps and stamped them with Versamark ink and heat embossed them using the White fine detail embossing powder.  Then, I used several colors of Heidi Swapp color shine with a brush to lay down the colors on my background.

Once the water colors were completey dry I cut down the panel and mounted it on a 5x7 cardbase using pop dots.  I used large letter stickers for my sentiment and finished off the card with sequins, a strip of gold scallop edge paper and a faux stitching line around the parameter to pull some more white into the design.  I love how SUPER shiny it is and how beautiful the floral images stamped.

Don't forget to drop by the Sweet Stamps store and take a look at all of the gorgeous red rubber stamps!

Later queenies!

Frame - Guest Designer Penny Ward

Hey friends and welcome to the Sweet Stamp Challenge Blog.
Penny Ward here for the last time as a Guest Designer. I have had so much fun playing with the super cute stamps and spending time on this blog.

So let's get to it.

Let's Make a Card and then change it ...

I started with white card stock and stamped the Floral Corner Wrap, turned the stamp 90 degrees and stamped it again. As you can see, I started with light Blue ink, then added two other Blues to the stamp before I actually stamped the card stock. Gives the vines a nice variegated look.
Now the fun part...color the flowers.

I used the same inking technique on the sentiment Thank You Curly, then cut it into a banner shape.

Flowers and foliage were cut with Silhouette Cameo and inked.

There is hardly a card that I make that doesn't have Liquid Pearls on it, and this is no exception....absolutely LOVE my Liquid Pearls!

While writing this post I am thinking "how cute would this be to cut out the center of the card and actually make it into a picture frame"...now why didn't I think of this sooner?

So...let's change it into a Frame ...

Took the embellishments off  (carefully) and used Deckled Rectangles Large to cut the center from the card.
Used an Aqua card stock as a mat for the frame, die cut the center with Deckled Rectangles Small. When adhering it together I left the top unglued leaving an opening for the picture (my handsome son and my adorable grandsons...just sayin').
To make the frame a little more sturdy, I adhered two panels of heavy watercolor paper and made an easel.
Re-attach the embellishments.

This frame is still sized at 5.5 x 4.25 inches...so you could still pop it in the mail.

I have had a total blast Guest Designing here at Sweet Stamps and I hope in the future you will bookmark my blog Penny Ward Ink and come visit me often.

Many many hugs,
Penny Ward

Step Card - Guest Designer Penny Ward

Hello friends, I am so glad you were able to swing by today.
It is Penny Ward again and I have the pleasure as Guest Designer today here at Sweet Stamps.

It is time to STEP out of your comfort zone and make something different.
Really, that was the best pun I could come up with.

So let's Make a Step Card...

I made this card with my Silhouette Cameo...absolutely love this machine!
Is that cheating...I think not!

Then it is a matter of stamping and coloring.

I stamped Floral Corner Wrap (how gorgeous is this stamp?), and colored the tiny flowers. I used this stamp for both the center and side panels. I then matted those with Navy card stock.

I stamped the sentiment Thank You Curly on the banner and again matted it in Navy.

After assembling the card, I then added flowers and foliage I had cut with the Cameo from white card stock.
Liquid Pearls (my favorite thing to use on a card...ever) finished the card.
This is a standard size A2 card when folded flat.

Thanks for spending part of your day with me and if you get a chance, please check out my blog here.

Hugs,
Penny

Borders - Guest Designer Penny Ward

Hi everyone...My name is Penny Ward (and my little dog Snowy).
As a Guest Designer this month, I would like to thank everyone at Sweet Stamps for the invitation. I have had so much fun playing with your stamps and getting inky.
I have been card making for about three years after retiring from a Fortune 500 company. I was hooked when I saw all the pretty papers and tools. When you get a spare moment, click over for a visit to my blog Penny Ward Ink.

So .....

Let's Make a Card

Fall is in the air somewhere (I live in Florida...it is still in the 90's here). I like to make my everyday cards according to the season...do you?
This card is fairly simple to make. With the Leaf Corner stamp, I only inked one edge and stamped the long side of my card panel using Memento inks. I then took a large post it note (LOVE them) and masked off a section of the card about an inch in and stamped along the edge again.

I wrapped Fall colored embroidery thread around the card, then took a long length of the threads and soaked them with Glossy Accents. Let dry.
Tied hardened threads into a bow. With the long "tails", I wrapped them around a pencil to get those sweet curls.
Stamped the Thank You sentiment and also stamped the Leaves three more times on scrap paper, colored and fussy cut them to add as an embellishment to my bow.
Easy Peasy!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will return again real soon as the Designers have so much more for you in the following days.

Hugs, Penny
