Bunny Swirls

Hi friends!  Sandy here for my last March guest designer post, so this is bittersweet partings.
I think this is one of my favorites, and I enjoyed making cards for these challenges.  I would also love if you stopped by my tutorial blog, Scrapbook Blessings Club, for daily tips, tutorials and technique.
A big thank you to SweetStamps for letting me be guest designer.

This week is Sweet Stamps'
 Swirls challenge

For this card, I pulled out my favorite embossing folder which is.... Swirls of course!!!  But to give it a little color, I used the Letterpress technique found HERE.
The biggest tip when doing this technique is to tap on the color from the ink pad, not smear it on.  To finish it off, I did simple paper layering, ribbon and prima flowers.

colored with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits

HIS and HERS

Hi friends!  Sandy here for my next March guest designer post.  This week is Sweet Stamps'
  Anything Goes challenge
and the March monthly technique challenge is Coloring Stamps with Inks.
I enjoyed making cards for these challenges.

The first card is Anything Goes. I decided to do a masculine card. I never do enough "guy" cards so for me this a little challenging. I think simple is best so I went with a bunch of layering with mats.
For the coloring, I decided to use a neutral ink and then using Prismacolor pencils, I add just a quick touch of color. I don't think it is too fancy.

For my second card, I wanted to make a more feminine card. It was easier to do to, lol. I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color my stamp with ink.  I absolutely love the "line art" that this image has. I think these birds are fabulous. Definitely one of my favorite stamp!  To mat this great stamp, I used Martha Stewart punches.  I also used just the first line of the sentiment stamp on the front and then added the whole sentiment on the inside.

Triple Time Luck

Hi friends!  Sandy here for my second March guest designer post.  This week is Sweet Stamps' LUCKY challenge. This was a fun for me. I used one of my favorite tutorials to create my card and couldn't wait to share it with you....Triple Time Stamping.

The shamrocks I used were perfect to use and as an added bonus, I decided to emboss them in different greens. Here is my card and the link for the tutorial that I use when doing this technique...

So what do you think?  This is a very easy technique that looks fabulous when it is all put together.  I used shimmery gold card stock to appease the Leprechauns and I went ahead and embossed the sentiment to  match the embossed shamrocks.  The embossing powder I used was Sweet Stamps Fine Detail Black embossing powder. It is by far THE best fine embossing powder for small print sentiments like this one! Its in my "craft box" all the time.

Frame Card- Guest Designer Sandy Hentzel

Hi Friends!  Sandy here, I am March's Guest Designer and over the moon to be creating and stamping with you.

A little about me...I live in "sunny" Ohio, married and a working (full-time) mom of three. I started scrapbooking 10 years ago with card thrown in the mix about 3 years ago. Since then, I have been hooked with stamping. It is my stress reliever after I get the kiddos to bed. I love the sense of accomplishment when I look at the finished product and making gifts for others.  You can find me at my craft desk almost daily and love, love, love learning new techniques and tutorials. That's about it. I am a simple crafter that likes to have fun with my family, friends and scrapbook crafters everywhere. You can also find me at The Scrapbook Blessings Club which is my tutorial blog along with my personal blog at A Working Mom's Joy.

I am looking forward to inspiring you with projects, showcasing the wonderful stamps from SweetStamps.

Have you checkout this weeks SweetStamps challenge... SPRING FLOWERS?  I don't know about you but I am ready for warmer temperatures, birds chirping and flowers blooming!

I decided to create this project using the Frame Card Fold...

You can find the tutorial I used to make this cute frame HERE. It is easy to follow, and  I think it is a great way to showcase this pretty stamp.

And don't forget the inside of the card too! I like to adhere a strip of the pattern paper that I used on the front inside the card to coordinate.
