Masculine card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Masculine Birtdhay challenge!
Irit is here and also it's a lst day to enter this challenge, you still have pretty much time to do so.
Here is my card made for this challenge: masculine colors and very general sentiment, but then it's just a good fit for the challenge.

First I made a background with Memory box mask : Texture distressed grid  and distress inks.
Then I made the focal panel with new released Backgrounds stamp using my favorite resist emboss technique: clear ink, white embossing powder and then  a lot of inking over the embossed image.
I used ATC white cardstock and then matted it over ATC black one with a bit of edge cutting.

I made the embellishment with Globecraft/Piccolo bird cage chipboard covered with embossing enamel and layered over the background shape and just added a piece of twine.
The sentiment was made with the new gorgeous sentiment set and my card was all done.
Seams like a lot of techniques, but then it's easy to make card.
Now it's your turn: just  one more day to enter the challenge! Go for it and you can win!

On the Hunt- Masculine Birthday

We are the most spoiled DT out there I think!  We get to play with lots of goodies at Sweet Stamps- the latest- The Globecraft Piccalo Accents and Enamel Embossing Powders.
The texture from the Enamel EP's is so awesome- and I love the Copper accents in the Copper color- hope you can see that in the picture on the letters and the base of the deer. The top of the deer is embossed with Brownstone EP. This is one of the pieces from the On the Hunt Accents set. You can see the full set HERE. I think I know a couple of guys that would enjoy this card : )

We hope yo see you join us for the Masculine Birthday Challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

For Dad with Guest Designer Elizabeth Hart

A Sweet welcome to Elizabeth! She will be joining in our June challenges as a Guest Designer. You can check out her creations here on Thursdays!

And now, a little about Elizabeth:

Welcome from Maryland. This is Elizabeth from Warm Harted and I am thrilled to be a guest designer for SweetStamps for the month of the June. This means that I have the opportunity to use the many fabulous stamps and supplies that SweetStamps offers in their on-line store and then show what gorgeous projects you can make with them! This week's challenge theme is:
For Dad

I used the Gone Fishing Silhouette stamp (6009e).

I chose to make a center stair-step card to prominently highlight this great image.

First, I water colored the background paper then stamped the image in black ink. This was a very simple process but the effect was very dramatic.

I think any Dad, whether they fish or not, would enjoy this card.

Keep Stamping and I'll see you next week.

Elizabeth

For Dad with Guest Designer Donna K

A Sweet welcome to Donna K! Donna will be joining in our June challenges as a SweetStamps Guest Designer and you'll be able to see her posts here on Wednesdays!

Hello from Eastern, NC! I am Donna K from Created by Donna K and I am honored to be posting as guest designer today for SweetStamps.
Just a quick note about...ME: I've been creating with paper since about 1999.  I started with scrapbooking and quickly found my way to cards and mini albums, which are my favorite. I love the satisfaction of finishing a project in a short amount of time. (even though some cards have taken me HOURS to complete!)

I am the wife of a retired Marine and mom of three adult children and one spoiled Yorkie. Aside from crafting we spend a lot of time cycling, walking and riding our Harley.

I came across SweetStamps via Facebook and I'm so happy that I did. I love the precise images of their stamps and have even played with the SweetCuts dies recently and they are just so very fun!

I hope that you will play along with this week's Dad challenge and link up your project for a chance to win some amazing SweetStamp treasures.

Now on to my card...

My Happy Father's Day card features a variety of papers and textures.

My "goal" was to make the silhouette stamp stand out as if it were a vintage photo. I stamped and heat embossed the image in black. I think it shows up nicely on the aged papers.

I used the following goodies from SweetStamps to create this card:
Thank you for stopping by today and thank you so much to Stacey and the talented crew of SweetStamps for having me.

I hope you have a wonderful day today!
