Microbeaded {Monthly Technique Challenge}

Hello sweet friends. I can't believe it's the middle of November already - and we've already had a little bit of snow here in Michigan! Just a taste of what's to come I'm guessing. This month our technique challenge is...
Microbeads
You can add a lot to a card (or other project) by adding microbeads! They come in many colors, but some of my favorites are the transparent ones like our Sugar Beads (smaller than microbeads) and Sugar Sand (even smaller than sugar beads!)
Take a look at these awesome microbeaded cards crafted by our very talented DT Sweeties:

We'd love to see your microbeaded creation {cards, ATCs, altered art, scrapbook pages, etc. are welcome}, so come and join the fun! You could win a $20 shopping spree for goodies at SweetStamps.com's online store by playing along in our challenge! Click here for our complete Challenge Rules.

"Give Thanks..."

"Give thanks to the LORD for He is good."
                                                   Psalm 136:1

Hello, and happy Thursday to you all!
Sandie here again...a November guest designer...with a "Thanks" card for this week's challenge.
And that is the verse I used on the  front of my card, a SweetStamps stamp called "Staggered Give Thanks" and the two dies I used are also theirs. They are "Elegant Leaves" and "Classy Deer".

I am using this as a Thanksgiving card which I plan to mail to my family in Wisconsin. I have not finished the inside yet so we shall see if I get this mailed on time. Sad to say, I am notorious for getting cards in the mail one day late...very consistently. LOL

This was a fun card to make. I made a stencil of heavy card stock and inked the bottom layer of the leafy wreath with an orangish ink, then die cut 3 more colors of the leaves to arrange in the wreath shape. (For delicate die cuts like this I use spray adhesive.) Some of the leaves have glitter added in gold and crystal.
The deer is one of my newest (and "deerest") dies and I've used it with glitter card stock. The very first time I visited the SweetStamps online store I knew I wanted that die. I'm looking forward to making some elegant Christmas cards with it.
I hope you are enjoying the beautiful samples made by the SweetStamps design team. Scroll down to see them if you haven't already. And once you are inspired, we'd love to have you join the challenge with YOUR creation. Each week there is a generous prize given to one randomly chosen winner of a $20 shopping spree for SweetStamps merchadise at their online store.
Thank you, crafty friends, for stopping by today.

Nature/Center-Step Card

Good morning! I guess its my turn to introduce myself....I'm Sandie Lobbezoo from Michigan. I'm feeling quite honored to be asked to be a Guest Designer this month at SweetStamps!
A little about me: First, I'm a redeemed sinner, saved by Jesus Christ; I've been happily married 36 years; we have six children (four married, one engaged, one single). We have seven grandchildren, with one more due to appear right after Christmas! My DH is soooooo patient and supportive!
I've been doing crafting and artwork of one type or another all my life, but card-making has really become a passion. I love to share my creations with the people God has placed in my life...and they seem to enjoy them! I'm hoping YOU will enjoy the items I share with you during November here at SweetStamps!
On my blog you'll find many, many cards I've made the past several months using SweetStamps dies and stamps!

Today the card I'm showing is already on its way to Wisconsin for my "little" brother's birthday...he's now 57 years old!

I have combined two challenges in this card: the monthly technique challenge which is a "Center-Step Card" and the weekly challenge which is "Nature". Since I needed a masculine card the "Nature" theme was perfect. I even addded a few real leaves to make it more out-doorsy!
The lovely tree stamp I used is a SweetStamps stamp "Tree #1"...as is the "old fashioned wish" sentiment (inside).  And the picket fence on the front of the card is a CheeryLynnDesigns die "Garden Gate" which I also purchased at the online SweetStamps store.

Other ingredients:
Circle die - Spellbinders "Anglaise Lace"
Ink - TH Distress "Walnut Stain"
Metallic stud embellishments - Michaels

Thanks for stopping by today!
There is still time to enter both challenges: the "center-step card" challenge goes until Nov.14 @ 11pm and the "Nature" challenge until Nov.11 @ 11pm. Join us for some fun, inspiration and prizes!

Let it Snow ...

Good morning. Ruza here sharing my final project with you as a Guest Designer for Sweet Stamps. So let's get to it ...

This weeks Sweet Stamps Challenge #141 is all about Frames.

I make cards for Operation Write Home so I created a Winter card for today's post. Before I inked up the cool Artist Trading Card Frame 440L stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I went thru my design paper collections to find the perfect set to use for my Winter card. I went with Echo Park's Winter Wishes Collection from last year.

Once the Artist Trading Card Frame 440L was stamped on the design paper, I fussy cut it out, including the center to add my scenic design paper behind it. That penguin sticker just spoke to me so I put him in the center of the Frame, and placed the frame at a slight angle on my cardbase of Rustic White cardstock. A sticker sentiment flag, some snowflakes, and enamel dots were added to finish off my design.

While you are here scroll down for all of the details about this weeks Challenge #141, and then share your project for a chance to win a $20.00 Shopping Spree to Sweet Stamps Online Store.

I have truly enjoying being a Sweet Stamps Guest Designer, and I hope that my projects have inspired you to get crafty and shop!

I would be honored to continue to inspire your crafting, and would love for you to follow me on my blog Ruza's Craft Corner.

Hugs!
